College football cheerleading is believed to have been created at the University of Minnesota in 1898. Their first group of six cheerleaders were men. Like the horse and buggy, this tradition is disappering as cheerleading squads go coed or all female. This post we celebrate the male cheerleader as depicted in Ivy League programs.
